Plot details are scarce at this time yet one interesting
rumor discovered leans towards Bruce Banner not being the first Hulk. Nick Nolte plays Bruce’s father, also a scientist and a ‘Hulk-specimen’ which will provide some information on the origin that was never revealed in the comics. Eric Bana will star as Dr. Bruce banner and Hulk will be an entirety Computer Generated Image (CGI). The teaser trailer released supplies absolutely no insight into the film and has a shot of Banner looking into a mirror giving way to his face metamorphing into the CGI Hulk. Of course we do not see Hulk; all we see are the eyes and the eyebrows changing. Hot off her Oscar win, Jennifer Connelly will play Banner’s love interest as Sam Shephard will portray Gen. Thunderbolt Ross. The film will ostensibly trace
Banner's discovery of his powers as he flees the military led by Ross, the script has Hulk meeting up with The Absorbing Man who can take on the properties of the things he touches. Look for this version to be set in California as the executives at Universal are looking to conquer ‘Spider-Man’s’ opening weekend take. |
Due to the slate of profitable super hero films, Universal has also jumped on the band wagon and has started principal photography on their possible franchise ‘The Hulk’. Director Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) will attempt to make a smooth and complete transition from foreign to Hollywood films. His American films have quickly faded from memory (Ride with the Devil, The Ice Storm, Sense and Sensibility) and Lee certainly hopes to become an A list Director with this film. |
