Midnight Chimes Productions week on Underground Film Midnight Chimes Productions awarded their own week in the spotlight on Underground Film to showcase their oddly unique short comedies. See them November 14th – November 18th at http://www.undergroundfilm.org Five short comedies from Boston-area based Midnight Chimes Productions will get their internet premiere this week on the San Francisco based website undergroundfilm.org. Their last short, Witness Protection Program, was the number one short (out of 762) for nearly thirteen weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for local actors, critics, and filmmakers who haven’t been able to attend their screenings to see the low-budget but high production-value shorts that have made them successful from any computer in the world. The lineup is: Monday Condumb (0:01:38) Tuesday Miracle Hose (0:02:48) Wednesday Mask of The Ninja (0:03:08) Thursday Blood Red Rover (0:02:58) Friday Latex: The Movie (0:11:38) Kevin Anderton has been creating short comedies since receiving his MFA from Boston University in 2000. His production company, Midnight Chimes Productions, has created over 35 shorts comedies that have played in festivals nationally, internationally, on national cable stations, cell phone networks (US, China, Taiwan, & Hong Kong) and on the Internet. His work has been covered by IMAGINE Magazine, NewEnglandFilm.com, the New England Entertainment Digest, and The Enterprise. He has also worked on the feature film, The Good Son, and the IMAX film, Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa. He is currently writing two feature comedies The Meeger Existence and Some Like It Szecuan, shooting three more shorts, and co-writing spec-scripts for Saturday Night Live*. His compilation DVD, The Midnight Shorts Collection has sold over 500 copies thru buyindies.com and self-selling. Look for a new version of the DVD this fall. *Kevin’s latest skit, A Bush League of Their Own, was recently rejected by an SNL executive. It was described as very clever and well-written but too mean-spirited and too anti-Bush for the show.
