The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards

December 13, 2004. It’s official — The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominations for the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Award Nominations that will be aired on Sunday, January 16, 2005 live on the NBC-TV network. By now, everybody and their grandmother are aware that the Golden Globes kicks off the busy awards season at the beginning of the New Year. Many consider the Golden Globes to be the precursor of the mighty glitzy Academy Awards for films and the blueprint for what’s to come at the Emmy Awards later on in the year for television.

As usual, the Hollywood Foreign Press recognizes the superlative achievement in movies and TV as it bestows its trophy to the worthy performers and the exceptional projects they’re attached to at the hip. The nominees are nothing to sneeze at; the selections are all viable in variety and content. However, there will be that element of surprise where the omission pertaining to certain left out considerations is an inevitable factor indeed. Nevertheless all deserving star-makers and their vehicles simply cannot be acknowledged by the Golden Globes so folks will have to make do with what’s being promoted as the best and brightest that 2004 had to offer in entertainment.

In conclusion, let’s check out what the Hollywood Foreign Press Association anointed as the past year’s crop of heralded hopefuls awaiting its glorious fate as becoming an elite Golden Globe winner.
