Atlantic City public beach is on sale
The citizen of Atlantic City, known under nickname Taipan126 on the eBay online auction, has put on sale sand from a city beach. One person agreed to buy about 0,5 kg of sand for 99 cents. He also had to pay $4 for delivery. Atlantic City authorities have declared, that the deal is illegal because sand does not belong to the seller. Earlier the city had to spend $1,2 millions to purchase sand and to keep a beach from erosion. eBay representatives have announced, that they do not bear the responsibility for the bargains that are taking place on their auction, but promised to keep the city authorities informed about such deals. |

American online buyers have returned to online shops the goods on a total amount of US $1 billion. According to Yankee Group Company, all purchases were made during the New Year's holidays of 2000. The number of returned goods considerably exceeds last year's index. This time some shops had to exchange the goods or to return money for 20-30% of buyers.
