| Eminem Rocks Australia By Ninawa Butrus, TheWorldJournal.com US rap-star Eminem played live to a huge crowd of thousands on Wednesday 26th July in Melbourne, despite all the controversy surrounding his visa application to Australia. Family Groups and anti-Eminem supporters protested to the Australian Immigration Minister, Phillip Ruddock, to deny Eminem entry into Australia because of his lyrical content and the star's recent behavior which doesn't set a good example to children. However, Eminem was granted entry on the condition that he behaves appropriately and his shows were strictly for over 18's. Despite poor ticket sales during the visa-controversy, tickets soured days before the show. The show was spectacular and the fans loved every minute of it. Star Carlton AFL player Anthony Koutafidis was in the crowd. Eminem was joined by his posse D12. D12 have just released their debut album, Devil's Night which is going great in the charts. © July 27, 2001 |
