Perilous Advertising By Artashes Toumanov, TheWorldJournal.com ![]() If you own a business - good for you. If your business has something to do with advertising, you will probably understand me better. If you live in Canada, and especially in Montreal - this news story will seem to you extremely close. I am going to talk about the event that has happened in Montreal sky and that wasn't planned at all. Montreal is a city where business goes up every month. That is why it's important to keep your company running and getting bigger audience. Business owners here are trying to use the most original and modern types of advertising campaigns. So they don't forget about the sky advertising. These two airplanes you see on the picture have become the part of Montreal life. Almost every day, when the weather permits, they fly around this "European city", carrying huge posters with advertising. But what happened on the picture wasn't a plan at all. By flying very close to each other, their advertising banners mixed up. To be more specific, their cables connected due to high wind, and these two Cessna's have become connected for the next one-minute or so, until their advertising posters have come untied. Unfortunately, on this picture, taken by The Journal (TheWorldJournal.com), we can't see the details of how they mixed up because of the long distance to the airplanes. Anyways, we are just happy that no tragedy has happened. © October 14, 2000 |
