Why Do We Kiss? Scientific Proof By Artashes Toumanov, TheWorldJournal.com
The most popular men's magazine "Men's Health" (in Russian language) published five, the most trusted theories of why people do kiss. And here they are: 1. A kiss gives us an opportunity to perceive the smell of pheromones - sexual ferments of each other. 2. The tradition of kissing came from the ancient procedure of licking each other during hot weather to replenish the reserve of needed substances in the organism. 3. Its also genetically connected with the procedure of feeding a child with food that was chewed by mother before. It's a dirty trick of course, but it is a fact. 4. A kiss recreates a breast-feeding process. 5. During the kiss an exchange of useful bacteria happens. Of course, we do exchange not healthy bacteria, too. But useful bacteria is much more. © August 9, 2000 |
